The Powerful Words of Winnie..
..The Pooh. Yes. The Winnie the Pooh. That yellow-furred, tenderhearted and affectionate Pooh bare is nothing short of a lyrical genius!
In the last year, meme’s have been surfacing, pointing out his honey-lovin, crop top vibin’ and self lovin’ existance — pretty great place to be Pooh bear!
Here are some of my very favourite quotes from the bare himself
“Some people care too much. I think it’s called love.”
— You’ll find a lot of the tales in Winnie the Pooh to be very heartfelt with deeper meaning, very much beyond the understanding of a child! This one is definitely an example of that. You fall out with a best friend perhaps? It hurts.. You care a lot about it because you love them. As humans we care a lot to the point that sometimes it is bad for us.. It’s because we hold so much love and passion and I love this quote because it ends on a positive note; it’s a good thing to love!
“I was walking along looking for somebody, and then suddenly I wasn’t anymore.”
— You’ve got it Pooh bear! This could be a meaning of finding one’s self. We spend ourlives fullfiling our goals and dreams. Relying on the thought of marriage and children. We set our selves on a pathway in search of perfection when really, walking along that riverbank, you might find that actually the view can beautiful all along the bank! If you’d like to sit down on a bench, do that too :)
“I think we dream so we don’t have to be apart for so long. If we’re in each other’s dreams, we can be together all the time.”
— and isnt he right?! This quote is truly magical! Sharing a world with a person that you truly love gives you the most out of this world feeling — you just want to shout it from the roof top! Meet me in my dreams ;)
“Nobody can be uncheered with a balloon.”
— Think about it.. When does a balloon not cheer someone up? I will definitely bare this in mind because even a great big mickey mouse balloon for your ‘emo isn’t a phase mum’ friend who has had a bad day would give her a smile :)
“If you live to be a hundred, I hope I live to be a hundred minus one day, so that I never have to live a day without you.”
— This seriously touched my heart. I almost instantly wanted to marry him! Imagine someone truly loved your company and love and wanting to spend every single moment on earth with that person. Goosebumps!
And although there are many more (You’re definately excused if you now need to see the film!) I’ll end on a favourite for good measure!
